Default fitting/cutting for 28in tire

Hey guys I am in the process of trimming for my 275/60/15 mickeys and wanted to see if you guys had some good pics or advice for trimming my bumper and quarter lip...my rear shifts a little with the spool when I turn so its rubbing all over (except the front and inside from what I can tell...and help/pics would be appreciated...thanks!

Weird, I didn't even have to trim for my 325/50/15s, and had ALL kinds of room back when I ran 275/60s.

only place mine were close to rubbing was the back bumper. tried adjusting my lca's but it didnt really help. probably only rubbed when doing a burnout so i just left it.

I would give it a shot, as a start. I've noticed T/As having more trouble with 28s than Camaros.

I've got 275/60 MTs on my Trans Am with the hose mod on the rear with adj LCAs and have about 3/4" room in front and behind the tire...haven't touched the fenderwells (yet, plan to lower it a tad more)

Thats gonna all depend on the wheel offset and how close the edge of the tire is to the lip.

I ran them on my Formula..all i did was roll the fender lips to keep from cutting the side wall. I let a buddy of mine run them on his camaro for a few passes without rolling the fenders and it cut the hell out of the side of the tire. FWIW these where 15x8 prostars with 5.5" backspacing and 275/60/15 MT ET Streets.

yeah i think im just going to grind down the inside lip (there is bodywork on the quarter that i dont want to risk flexing much by rolling) and im going to trim my bumper about 3/4" out at the bottom...and while im in there i'll do a little BFH work just incase on the inner fenderwell

no way in hell you need to trim or bfh a thing if you got the correct backspaced wheels and have your rear centered in the wheel well with adj lca's on a little 275/60! put it on the right rim and make your adjustment before you hack your car up needlessly. all 4th gens fit that size tire just fine if you have those items.

oh, and i have my spring perches and bump stops removed and no rolled fenders on my camaro and it's got a 295/55 tire. no rubbing in any direction whatsoever and nothing has been cut or rolled and you can see my car transfers the weight on the rear. i again strongly advise putting on the tire/wheels and seeing how it fits first.

With the stock rear they should fit fine. Mine did.

I did have to get my fenders rolled though when i put the 12 bolt in.

as long as you have 15x10 rims with 7.5" bs or 15x8 with 5.5" bs they will fit with so much room to spare, they'll look smallish in the wells.

and i run a spool on and off the track as its mostly a street car. you wont have a problem as long as you have your phb and lca's set up correctly so everything is centered.
