I talked with someone who powdercoats and they said they could powder coat a color that looks very close to chrome.

nascarnate326, blacking out the backsides of those wheels looks good. Nice job!

A TON of elbow grease, you can get it at your local hardware store.


Also what are the wheels made of?
Aluminum.

So basically I strip them of the paint and then polish? Any write ups on this? What do I strip with and what do I polish with?

I found it much harder than it sounds. Because the spokes go "in" from the lip to the center of the wheel it is hard to get the machine marks correct.

I am powdercoating mine.
