Default Chrome VS Polished

Just had my chrome firehawk wheels stripped down and thought i would share the polishing results. These shots are before final polishing at home, and a serious cleaning. Just picked them up, cant wait to see them on the car.

Why did you strip the chrome? Polished looks great, but it's a pain to keep clean.

A good triple plate chrome to me looks as good as polished, and the maintenance should be lower.

They look good but **** that, now your slave to them bitches. I'll take shiny maintenance free chrome any day over polished.

They look great! I'm not a big fan of the labor involved with maintaining polished wheels, but at least that style of wheel is pretty simple.

Polished does look good, but I'll never own another set of polished wheels. Ever.

I have 18' smoothie 2s on my 85 ta and i love how they look when clean , you are deffy a slave to the rims but they look so much better than chrome to me , and if you dont drive the car a ton polished is the way to go .

I'm in the same boat as everyone else. Those look great! I think polished does look better than chrome, but I will never buy another set of polished rims, I hate the constant maintenance. Again, your rims came out great OP!

They look great.

But screw polished.......pain in the nuts. They get so dirty so fast, the only time period that they look good is right after you clean them before you drive the car. Soon as you drive away they start getting dirty and look dull.

I do love that shine however with that bling it comes with the upkeep. Even with chrome I got tired of cleaning it as well and then flaking. With that being said, I went with PCing my wheels.

They look good. But like stated above already, takes more cleaning on poliched wheels. But they do look good.
