Default WS6 Wheels flush with fender

I would like to keep my WS6 stock wheels and not do aftermarket rims.
the only thing i dont like is the wheels sits too far in. front not that bad but the rear wheel doesnt look good.

Did anybody do this mod with adapters or spacers. Ithought a 1 inch adapter in the back would be to much, I meassured and I think 20mm would be enough. The front 8 mm or 10mm??

Thanks for advice,
I got a 96 WS6 stock Trans am still with stock suspension.

Im not sure what spacer you need, but I think you should ship them out and have them widened. Then you can have them sit flush and fit a set of sexy 315s on them.

He is looking to get them to sit out more.
Getting them widened would only push them further in not out.

You can probably go with 3/8 spacers on the front
and about 3/4 spacers on the rear

Just watch it if your car is lowered,
the fronts will come closer to rubbing on the plastic wells on lock to lock
you will also need to roll the rear fenders

Make sure to go with ARP wheel studs

If you need spacers or studs I have bunch of new ones for sale in different sizes
I was using them to do mock ups when I was designing my big brakes.

1.25" rear ADAPTERS is what you need...

search for pics - several people have used 1" adapter/spacers in the rear with stock WS6 wheels

for the front, there are a lot of opinions but I think a 3/4" hubcentric spacer with longer studs would look perfect

I would leave the front alone and just do the rear.

OK I am going for the 1 inch adapter in the rear. Only concern is the hub size issue what I found out with earlier f bodies.
The adapters say centerbore 70.5mm, so they probably don't fit on my 96 firebird????

Here description about wheel problems:

"" wheel interference problems on 93-96 F-bodies : Chrome wheels will not fit on rear of 93-95 Firebirds due to a lack of clearance between the wheel hub and the rear axle shaft. Factory 93-96 axle shafts have a 70.75 mm diameter hub face, while the 97-02 Chrome wheels have a 70.5 mm diameter hub opening. Minor grinding/machining is mandatory for installing those wheels on 93-96 models."

So my question did anyone have this kind of problem with adapters on the rear with earlier bodies (93-96)????? If yes did you grind the adapter or the axle shaft???

Thanks
Greg

the difference is .25mm - about the thickness of your fingernail. If it doesnt fit, hit both the hub and the inside of the adapter with some 80 grit and that should take off just enough to make a snug fit

I did the swap with 1 inch spacers and also lowering springs about1.2 inch with new shocks also .
the tire is rubbing at the fender lip.
best way to do fender roller or is there any kind of spacer for the pump stops?
I swaped the old defective pump stops and replaced it with the rubber ones from the 3th fbody.
