Default traction issues???

so i could use some tips or advice this post may seem kinda dumb but i got some new 18s for my car and just put new tires on them yesterday i got a set of 255/45/18 99w riken raptor cause ive heard good things and i took the car out the other night since i had my stock tires and wheels and i cant seem to get traction like i use to i could launch on my stock wheels at 1600rpm and have a great launch but now i dont seem to have that. any advice??

If you want traction, get rid of the 18's, plain and simple. No true street tire is going to give you any real traction drag racing unless your car has no power at all.

^^ This and those are pretty skinny tires arent they? LCA would def help as well.

The fatter the tire the better the traction.

255 isnt that skinny, if it was a 255 micky thompson et street or 555r you would probably be hooking up very well.

if it was pretty cold that could of had alot to do with it, there is a reason i stick with a drag setup in the rear lol

it was cold!! id say 14 plus wind chill
