I'm buying tires for the rear of my SS and I can't decide between nitto 01, nitto 05, or BF Goodrich KDW2. Does anyone have a recommendation?

It depends on what you're trying to do with the car. Street, Strip, Street/Strip, Road Race?
I'm running NT05r's in the rear, and with it being a drag radial, it hooks really well. The regular NT05 is more for road racing, and will still hook, but not as well as the NT05r. I run NT05's for my front tires, and they grip the road pretty well.
I can't say much about the KDW or NT01 since I don't have experience with them, but it looks like the NT01 is also a road racing tire, and according to Nitto's page has more noise and less ride comfort than NT05's (same holds true for NT05r's). KDW looks to be an aggressive street radial.

ill be using this for a little of everything, i may drive it to work then i may take it to the track on a weekend. but mostly street/road race. i have never ran any of these tires so i dont want to drop the money to just have to buy some more in 3 months so im trying to do a little research to see if anyone has got any sort of long term results reguarding wear.

I run NT01's i love them, but i rarely drive the car. less then 500 miles a year. I wouldn't recommend them if you plan to drive around on the street a lot. They are almost slicks when they are brand new.
