I have a set on my personal car. I am very impressed. This tire is an improvement over the KDW2 which is very popular on the boards here. Also I have noticed these tires run wider than most others in their size. This is a good thing as you get a wider contact patch. Let me know if you have any specific questons and I would be glad to answer them.

^thanks! Yeah all the reviews sound good so far, but will be nice to hear from another member. I think I have my sights set on these. I was originally looking at the Falken Ziex 512's, but then I read in a lot of places that the sidewalls are too soft and don't like to be driven hard on, some people reported horrible treadware also.
A friend recommended Maxxis tires, but seems I can't get them in anything wider than 235 for a 16" wheel.
So I'm pretty set on these, just a question of when I'm going to pull the trigger. Before or after my summer road trip, but I think I should probably do it before.

Well, today I got my c6 Z06 wheels and BFG G-force Super comp-2's put on. 275/40/17, and im rather happy. They stick very well on the dry pavement; as for wet roads, I couldnt tell you yet. Although thats specifically what they upgraded the super comp-1's to make the 2's. I might be having some rain before the weekend, i can let you know how well they stand up to some wet roads. But as far as laying in on the throttle, the tires held up very well for a street tire. No real feathering out and the rears stuck like glue. hope this was of any use to you in your search for new rubber

Well as a thread update....

I got a set of these finally! 255/50/16.
The grip is amazing and scary(as in I have no idea how hard I can push it now, faster than I've ever cornered so far it seems), the limits of the car are higher, with the old Yokohama's I knew when the tires would cry uncle, not these! It was wet out the other night also, gave it 75%ish throttle in 2nd, old tires would have been a fishtailing mess, the car just took right off with the Sport Comp 2s.
Had to slalom around a deer carcass at night, around 70mph, not a sound from the rubber. Pretty much the best tires I have ever owned since getting the car in 2004. I am pretty damn excited.

Yes, they are GREAT tires for the price, and like you have stated there is almost NO high performance street rubber left in 16" sizes for our cars unless you go to 100 treadwear R compound tires which wear out if you look at them wrong, and pick up EVERY piece of shrapnel on the road, and then consequently flat every other day. ![Sad](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_sad.gif)
I thought I was the ONLY one in the world with 16x8 ZR1/ragtop SS style 5 spoke AFS wheels with 255/50-16 BFG Comp 2s on them (mine are powder coated comp gray/graphite though).
Glad to see someone else sticking to 16s with this setup.

IMO they are the best tire for the money. They are way better then the KDW tires. I also have the g-force sports on another car, not sure if they are considered the comp 1 or not. But the comp 2's are alot better in the rain than those tires, plus I like the looks of the sidewalls on the comp 2's alot better as well

dailydriver, do you have any pictures of your wheels? I really don't know what color to paint the wheels next, if I change the color at all. Of course because I painted them with my old tires, now there are spots where the wheel weights used to be that aren't painted.
Thought about changing up the color, car color is green. A shade or two lighter than the stock polo green color.

Once I swap (and clean up the car), I will take pics and post.

Question: I put 255/50/16 on my OEM wheels instead of the original 245/50/16 tire size.
What tire pressure do you guys use in the same configuration? I have been putting the stock pressure but tires are looking too saggy.
