OEwheels 17x9.5/18x10.5 wheel question
What's up guys. I apologize if this has been asked before. My search button doesn't work due to the slow internet here in Afghan.
Looking to pick up a set of wheels for my '99 Trans Am for my return home. I would love to get a set of Fikse FM10's, but can't swing that right now. I have been dabating between the c6 z06 DD and the C6 DD. Planning on going with the C6 DD in chrome with rivets, 17x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear.
Tires will be 275/40/17 up front and 295/35/18 out back. Offset is listed as 54 for the front and 56 for the rear.
The car will be lowered on strano springs with koni 4/4 shocks. Just trying to figure out if I need spacers for the rear, and if so what size. Will I have any rubbing issues being as the car is lowered? I DO NOT want to roll the fenders. That is not an option.
Thanks in advance guys.

shouldnt have to roll the fenders, might need the BFH to make some room, i had to a little with that same setup, different springs though. Also, do you have a pan hard bar? might need a little tweeking with that if you do. You're pretty much golden though.

Im debating between going with the staggered setup or just going 18 x 10.5 all around.
What would the fit be like on the front running the same tire, 295/35r18.

i dont have spacers, tucks up fine, doesnt stick out like a low rider and its not way in the fenders either, just my .02. I didnt roll the fenders either. The adj. pan hard is a must when lowering the car though. Everyones car is different. You will find guys on here with 315s out back/lowered and no BFH mod at all, and some with 285s that need to roll and BFH. There is a guy on here with 295s all around, but if im not mistaken (i am alot according to my wife) the 295s up front will drive your abs crazy.

Yeah, I'm thinking the 18x10.5 all around will be a pain. Leaning towards just going with 18x8.5 front with a 255/40r18 and 18x10.5 rear with 295-35r18. How does that sound?

i run the staggered c6 dd 17x9.5 (275/40/17) front and 18.10.5 (295/35/18) rear.
the wider tire will look good up front. plus if you want to go smaller width on the front then the 275 you could, but if you want to go wider on the 8.5 then you cant do much more than the 255(safely and still looks good). Did you by chance check out the OEwheels thread. There are a bunch of different pics in there with all kinds of setups. May be worth checking out.

my brother runs same rims rear tires 295/40/18 they hit everything i suggest going 285/35/R18 if you don't want to roll the fenders maybe even less!, even while driving once you get the grip the back moves down more and the front lifts up he gets even more rubbing in the fenders.
