PICTURES INSIDE! 17x9.5 torque thrust 2 WS6 wheel size
Hi guys just picked up a 01 ws6 that is very nice. Has some good goodies also. Anyways it has 17x9.5 torque thrust 2 wheels and 275/40zr17 tires all the way around. The rears are some worn out hankooks and the front are brand new sumitomo HTR2 II. Im looking at buying some nitto nt555 for it and need a bit of advice from you guys. I was thinking of buying a whole set of 4 so that I will have all matching tires but seems like a wast of 2 brand new tires. Are the front tires on there now any good? Do you guys think I should just keep them and get 2 nt555 for the rear or are they junk and should I just get 4 new? Also should I keep the 275/40zr17 size? Also do you guys think I should stick with the same size all around or go with a bigger tire in the back then the front? Any help and suggestions appreciated! Thanks.
Ohh and some pics of the new car.

I say burn the rears out and have some fun till they die, just don't ruin the rims, then keep the fronts and get new rears....but either way I'd drive on them a bit and see how you like em, sound, control,feel...etc. different brands and types, different attributes. I like the staggered rims just because the lip on the rear looks better to me and I hate the wider tires on the front dragging every which way the cracks want to go. My 02 cents...Car looks great by the way!!!

Thanks guys!, I had my setting wrong so that I didn't subscribe to my threads and didn't realize I had any replies. I just ended up getting some 275/40r17 nt555 for the rear and left the sumitomo up front for now. I wanted them all to match but at the same time hated to wast the new front tires that were already on there so just left them there.

Almost wish the tires were bigger just to get rid of some of the wheel gap. But I don't think the bigger tires would be very attractive. I cant lower the car because I have long tube headers and they would drag everywhere. What do you guys suggest?

Lol well I wish I didn't and if it was just Y pipe it wouldn't be so bad but my headers hit and that bothers me because those are not cheap! If it was just the y pipe it wouldn't be so bad because thats a much easier fix. Thanks for the advice on the heater hose mod. I think I will do that to level it out a bit since the rear has more wheel gap than the front and don't think it will really give me any more dragging problems just doing the rear.

my car was lowered on 295's out back and when i ran headers my y pipe didn't scrape if i paid attention to where i was driving. if i didn't pay attention yeah i could scrap the pipe but how many times are people going to look at the piping under the car? remember when you adjust things in suspension your tire life is significantly lowered, if you do lower it more go get a alignment to check once your done playing with the suspension . . . nothin worse than tires lasting only 5000 miles
