Default 17x11 zr1s 275 tire?

Got some 275 et streets on my 17x11 zr1s tire shop said they wouldn't run them cause the wheel is so wide.the rim sticks out a little on each side but i dont think these tires have curb protectors like my old tires did they look a little wierd but i dont see why they wouldnt work. is it ok to run them on the strip?

I'm assuming these are 17x11s? That tire is too narrow. All you'll do is spin and look foolish having such a narrow *** tire on that wide of a rim. 275s fit 9.5" rims perfect....

I don't see why you wouldn't want to run a wider tire in the rear...

This is a horrible idea. Put at the minimum a 295, preferably a 315 tire on it.

Its funny when i called tire rack to order my wheels and tires the lady on the phone was like are you sure you want a 315 tire? we recomend a 275 for that wheel. i was like no the 315's will be just fine. i kinda knew the 275 would be a bit small. as you found by mounting them on your wheels.

Man those tires are very stretched, I don't know man, that does not look promising, not sure how much I would trust them at 100+ going down the strip

I've had 285s on them. 275s are just a tad small in my opinion.

Yup, you're better of doing that. Plus dropping the pressure on those will make them even worse too at the track.

I don't see why you won't be fine considering the approved rim width for most 275/40/17's are 9-11" wide. If anything they will be more stable with less sidewall flex.

When I ordered my tt2s back in the day I got them from tire rack, and I got better tires. The particular tire didn't come in 315 so they sent me 275s all around. Wasn't terrible but looked better with 315s

Those 275s fit perfect on those rims, They are not too stretched. Me Personally I wouldn't get a set of new tires right now those will be perfect for you at the track whoever said they wont clearly don't have a clue about drag radials on 12 sec 11 sec car like ours
