we do it cause it simply looks badass, no functional down side but no functional upside either.... i loveeeee my 18x10.5's 
so much that i bought a set for the front and now i have them all around

post pics of your car with 17s front and 18s rear im thinkin about ordering 17x9.5 18x10.5 c5 dd cause they dont make 18x0.5 for the front so lets se some pics of 17 and 18 staggered!

Even if I had a Corvette, I would be inclined to run the same size rim with more sidewall on the back even if its a minute difference!

I recently picked up a pair of 18x9 torque thrust m's with 255/45/18 tires that will need replacing sooner rather than later. I am considering buying 17x9 wheels for the front due to the tires being less expensive and I kinda like the staggered look. What size tire should I go with? 255/45/17?? As far as drivability goes, would staggered be just as good as 18x9's all around?

17x9 = 275/40 (this is factory spec on SS/WS6 cars)
