I had those on my last Camaro and it looked the best!!!!!

IMO, go with a staggered tire height, not wheel height. Nothing look worse than a car with taller rear wheels that have tires with shorter sidewalls than the front wheels have on them.

Staggered one size up just look badass. Nothing is wrong with the same size all around though.

I absolutely Agree 1000% on your statement! I put 275/40/18 on my car with 18 x 9.5" Rims and I am already thinking I need to put some 285/45/18's on the rear for the reasons you stated. Even though mine are even, I still feel the rear tires should have more Sidewall then the fronts!

Even if I had a Corvette, I would be inclined to run the same size rim with more sidewall on the back even if its a minute difference!

I actually want to go the other way and put 18's or 19's on the front
with 17 and 18 on the rears

this way I can clear my BBK
and get better traction

I recently picked up a pair of 18x9 torque thrust m's with 255/45/18 tires that will need replacing sooner rather than later. I am considering buying 17x9 wheels for the front due to the tires being less expensive and I kinda like the staggered look. What size tire should I go with? 255/45/17?? As far as drivability goes, would staggered be just as good as 18x9's all around?

9" wide wheel = 275 tire. Not sure why anyone would put a 255 on there...
17x9 = 275/40 (this is factory spec on SS/WS6 cars)

Quick Reply: Why 18 rear and 17 front?
