Default Looking to get new wheels, will these fit without modification?

I have a 2000 T/A that is still on the stock suspension. I am looking to get a set of TT-Ms and fit them with the following tire sizes. Will this work out fine without having to hammer or roll the fenders?

Front:
17x9
45mm offset
6.89" backspacing
5x4.75" bolt pattern
Sumitomo HTR Z 275/40ZR17

Rear:
17x10.5
44mm offset
7.55" backspacing
5x4.75" bolt pattern
Sumitomo HTR Z 315/35ZR17

It's a DD street car that will rarely ever see the track. Thanks!

On stock suspension, you'll be fine. However, if you ever lower it, be sure to get an adjustable phb and roll the fenders

An adjustable panhard bar is something I already planned on getting when I start working on the suspension. I will eventually replace the springs at some point. Would it be better to run a 305 on the rears instead of the 315?

you could run a 305 but I believe those are a harder size to find if I'm not mistaken.

I would avoid those tires IMO. Spend a little more money on a better tire, there are plenty of options. And stay with a 315 on the rear, a 305 will be harder to find and would probably look a little stretched.

305 would probably be ideal but I haven't found a tire that size so you'll have to go 315's. ON STOCK SUSPENSION, you will not run into any problems with that combo. However, your better off with Nittos. If you lower, as stated above, an adjustable phb is a must, don't think you'll need to roll the fenders but be prepared to

Is there a particular issue with the Sumitomos? How about Kumho Ecsta XS? I was thinking about the Nitto NT 555 Extreme Performance but I am ordering the wheels from Tire Rack and was trying to get a tire they could mount and balance before shipping them.

IMO, get the Kumho Ecsta XS for the rears and Kumho Ecsta SPT up front.

If this is your DD then stay away from the Kumhos, you'll only see about 15k out of them. Don't get me wrong, they are amazing tires with a **** ton of grip, but I would go with something with more life. The Sumitomos suck.... Nitto 555s would be your best option.

Yes, the Sumis suck. No traction, but they wear like iron. I have Nitto NT555 tires on my car right now, but I haven't got to drive on them yet. My next tires will wither be Toyo 888s or Kuhmo XS. I wanted a street friendly tire to work the bugs out of the suspension before I put a really aggressive tire on it, otherwise I would have the Kuhmos right now.

The Nittos are terrible if you want lots of mileage out of them. They grip very well though. I used to run Sumis on the rear and actually like them quite well. They get great mileage if they are balanced correctly

Are you talking about the 555R or the NT555s? All of the reviews I have read about the NT555 tires state that the mileage is great, the 555Rs on the other hand you will only see about 12-15k miles.

I will find out soon how the NT555s do as far as wear here pretty soon, but I have driven my car about 15 feet so far on them LOL

Thanks for all the input everyone. I went ahead and pulled the trigger this morning on these. Ended up going with wheelsforless.com for both wheels and tires (NT555) to have them mounted and balanced before shipping. Can't wait for them to get here and cruise around some

Correct... the 555R's are a drag radial design. They are much softer and will wear about 3 times faster than the NT555.

And the 555R run about 1" narrower than the NT555. My NT555s mounted on 11" wheels measure exactly at 12.5" of section width. And I realize that the Rs are a softer compound, the reason I asked is someone mentioned that the 555s wear out fast and I wasn't sure which ones they were referring to because all I have read people seem to like the NT555s for tire wear.

Sure thing I'm stoked to get them on and ditch these stock T/A wheels. The Kumho Ecsta AST 245/50R16 that were on the car when I bought it are terrible. Maybe I can pick up a few bucks from someone looking for stock wheels.
