I have oewheels 17x9.5 and 17x11 black zr1 wheels and am tired of the look but don't know what set I should pick up next. I like the c6 and c6zo6 wheels but want to see some other ideas.

LOL. Seriously though... I've always been a big fan of chrome wheels on black cars. I'm sure some people will chime in with some pictures. Doing a search will yield TONS of pictures if you get ambitious. C6 Z06's would probably look awesome. Best of luck on your search.

I don't have a black SS, but if I did, I would get some CCW SP550 or CCW LM20 wheels. I'd have the centers done in CCW's hyperblack and leave the lip polished. Without a narrowed rearend, for sure the CCW SP550, but if you have a narrowed rearend, CCW LM20. You can't go wrong with CCW.

$1000 budget won't get you too far. A used tire/wheel combo is about your only choice. Here's mine with the DD C5s.

Yeah, disregard my prior post. Didn't see the $1,000 limit. In my opinion, if your going to get wheels, save up and get some damn nice ones. In my opinion, the stock wheels look just as good or better than any of the OE wheels.

C5 deep dish are the only OE wheels I really like much.

C5Z wheels are my least favorite and are worse than stock IMO. C6Z are a little too sharp/harsh for the smooth body lines, and c5zr1 wheels are dated to the early 90s IMO.

I personally am a sucker for the all black c6z rims and thats what I'll probably put on my car when I go to do rims. Zr1s are just simple which always looks good.
