Most people would probbaly say to go with either 17 or 18 inch rims. My Formula has the stock 16's and my TA has 17 inch C6 Vette wheels.

I have 17's and wish I had gone with 18's. The 18's just look a little better and I doubt you would loose enough comfort/performance to even notice (on the street).

Tires cost more the larger you go so that is a factor as well. I'd look at a few tire websites to see what the tires cost for the size you are looking at. Dropping a stack for a set of rubber sucks!

Damn right but I did find a site to go to. Do ya'll think I should make the front tires 17" and the back 18", more appealing look ? Or just go with 18 " front and rear ?

I mean if I lower it 1" will the 18" make a difference then ? I want it to be street drivable.

It's a very subjective answer, but 18' seems to fill the wheel well the beast IMO.

I have been going through the same exercise between 18 and 19". I can't tell you how many pictures of different cars with each size and varying tire sizes I have. 17" isn't an option for me as the car has them now and they look to small. It's not just rim size either as the tire width and profile play a large role into what the overall stance looks like. There is no clear answer here as Sommer86 indicated as subjective. It's all about what you think looks good. I have been pouring through pictures for weeks......

To each thier own. I like 19s and 18s but wish I would have done 19s on all four.

100% subjective. I typically like 18's for these cars, but for certain rims I prefer 17's, and for other styles 19's look great (like mesh style wheels: HP evos, or RPM 505's). Some times a staggered setup looks great, whether it be 17/18 or 18/19. The style of the rim should play a part when deciding, some just naturally look better in smaller sizes, others in larger sizes (for example, CCW classics look good in the smaller sizes, and CCW 505a's look better in larger diameters)

you definitely have to consider how low you plan to go with the car (if at all), how much gap you want between the wheel and fenders, how much rubber you want on the wheels (sidewall and width)... Between how low the car sits + rim style + rim size + tire size, you can end up with a LOT of different looks.. just depends on what you want.

I preffer 18inch It depends if you are going for good looks or if you want a light wheel, but 17 or 18 inch wheels is as good as you can go on an F-Body

I think this would look good in my opinion, for example: 18x8 front and 18x9.5 or 10 rear... 17x8 or 7 front and 18x9.5/or 10 is good also, everyone has different likes, this is just an example to give you an idea what could look good on your Camaro

My brother had a staggered set of custom TT2's on his WS6, 17X9.5 front and 18X10.5 rear. It was the best look I had seen on an Fbody. Just to be clear, by "look" I don't mean the rims. In other words: the stance of the car, the width of the tires, rims and tires on the rear were perfectly plush with the fender (they didnt stick out which looks like straight up garbage when they do), rideablity on the street, how they flow with the color of the car, etc.

Keep in mind that if you buy a staggered set, you can't rotate your tires. Considering how much tires are these days, I would look into it before deciding to go this route. If you plan to lower in the future, I would probably stay away from 19's if you want to maintain good street comfortability.

I gotta ask, why so narrow???
These cars need at least 9" wide in the front, and I much prefer the looks of a 10.5-11" wide wheel in the rear to fill in that big wheel well.

After owning both 17's and 18's on a camaro and a trans am I would have to say that I think the trans am pulls off the 18's best do to the factory body kit that a formy or z28 don't have.
Trans Am-18's
Z28/Formula-17's

17 inch ZR1's are always a great choice. I have ran those and are currently running 18x10.5 Black C6 Corvette by OE Wheels which I think are awesome, especially for the price and the fact other than myself I havent seen no1 else running that set up.17's good, 18's even better, on the fence about 19's and a big hell no to 20's. Personal choice though.

I wouldnt run anything else but 19`s !
I`m quite pleased with my wheel setup diameter wise , these cars need big and wide wheels and aggressive offsets , I do like the old school muscle look with 16`s but 19`s just make our cars too sexy

I forgot to ask does anyone know what is the widest tire I can put on the rears , I'm guess it would depend on the wheel offset or I'am i wrong ?

Thanks
