Default I need a straight answer.

What are the widest tires i can fit under my 01 Camaro without having to do anything? By that i mean order wheels and tires and bolt them on, no fender rolling or tubs.

Are you lowered? If you have a drop and go with 18s your going to have to do some mods, pretty sure ya can fit 17s n 315s on the rear with no issues on stock height,at most ya might have to use a big hammer, its worth it to do the mods, what setup where you wanting to go with? What suspension setup are you running now

depends on a few things. diameter/width of wheels, offset of wheels, your ride height. 17/11 with 315's is very popular. A lot of people have 345's, but they always seems to be tubbed cars. never really seem to see many cars with anything between 315-345

Even with a 17x11,ya still might need to work the bump stops/inner fender, maybe even a phb,but again depends on ride height etc,imo bhm, bump stop, even rolling the fenders are all pretty easy to do,it better to do those than cut a tire after hitting a bump,on stock ride height again i think your fine, but stock ride height blows,

The car isnt lowered yet. Its probably going to be about an inch lower. Now the car is stock, and the suspension components are going to stay stock (except for springs and shocks and UMI SFC's) unless i need to add adj. LCA's or panhard. Im getting ready to start the build and i just wanted to know how big of a tire i can get under there. without having to do anything major. Im willing to use the BFH, but i dont want to roll the fenders or tub it.

Thats what i need to know. I dont have the wheels yet so i want to know what diameter and offset i should get to get a good with. I see 315's are popular i was just curious if these people are doing anything to fit them.

315 will be as big as you can go and still look like they belong.

You'll see some people put 335s on, but they're usually still on an 11" wheel.

Occasionally you will see a 12" wheel with 335s but unless there are some accommodation mods it will likely look like youre trying too hard.

Not to mention the camaro has a hair less room underneath than a ta

I am lowered and run TT II's on 17*11 wheels with nittos 315's in rear and fit great. No rubbing and didn't do any mods to make them fit.

Nittos tend to run smaller width wise than a lot of tires. iv seen pics where nitto 315s are the same width as some 275s

I personally have Nitto 555R 315/35/17 on zr1 17x11 rear wheels. did absolutely nothing except adj. panhard bar to center them. No rubbing, no hammer, etc. I am dropped a little over an inch with strano springs.

However, like a few already mentioned nittos tend to run slightly more narrow than most tires. A BFH will be necessary for most tires but no tubbing as far as I've seen. So my final answer is 17x11 with 315 is the biggest you can go before more dramatic options are needed.

I have the same combo (ZR1's/315/35/17 NT555's) lowered apx 1.5" and I had to use an adj PHB, BFH the inner wheel wells and roll the fenders to clear them w/o rubbing... I also swapped to the Jeep bumpstops and trimmed back the "lip" where the stock ones mount. I have pics on my build thread if you want good pics of this. I am not sure if there any subtle differences with your year (mine is a 95') but with everything I read our cars vary quite a bit from the factory 93 (all 4th Gens in general)...

I'm running 345-30-19 tires on 19 x 13 wheels and I haven't experienced any fuel economy reduction at all.
