Clearance question for 295/40/18 on 18x10.5
First post since selling my 1999 Mustang GT to buy my 02 35th SS...
I know the search button is my friend, but im getting too many mixed results.
My question is, will i need to do a BFH mod if i run an 18x10.5 rim with a 56 offset?
I've seen yes, I've seen no. I honestly do not know.
I have Strano springs on backorder coming in about 3 weeks, I will also have a UMI dbl. adj. panhard bar by then going in as well.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

I'd imagine you will have to BFH (and perhaps do a little fender rolling too).
I've had two FBodies, both on OEM C5 Z06 wheels (18x10.5 +58) with 295/35/18. Both needed some BFH. One had an adjustable panhard, and the other doesn't.
It will only be worse with a 40 series tire. I'd keep that hammer close by.
Also, welcome to the site - super intelligent second post

295/40R18's look sweet on our cars!
I already had rolled quarters and lowered on Eibach prokit springs when I had those size tires, I would imagine if you plan on lowering you will have to roll the fenders especially if you like taking corners fast.
You may have to do a little BFH if any but its not that big of a deal to do it if needed.

good to know the 40's will fit when lowered though! for some reason, when i bought the car it had 235/55 r17 (?!?!) on the chrome 10 spoke rims. it came stock with 275's right?!
so i figured 55's wouldnt fit with the drop springs haha.
the car looks awesome! cant wait for that fatty height in the rear!

its all about the offset. 58-56mm might require it where 45-40mm wont. 295 is not that wide of a tire to put on these things. there are some guys running 315's without rolling or rubbing. i think more on T/A's though.
