Default Is it "ok" to use wheel spacers?

I'm tired of the appearence of my tires being inside the the rear fenders. I wanted to have my tires stick out about 1" so their atleast even with the fender for a better stance appeal. Does anyone run any particular brand of wheel spacers? is it safe for a dd/street?

It's safe, as long as you use hub-centric bolt on spacers & not a floating spacer.

But you would really be better off getting wheels with a lower offset.

Theres a certain auction site that has fbody-specific, hubcentric 1" and 1.25" spacer adapters for around $50 shipped. I ran a pair safely for a year with no issues

Like others said, its safe if the spacers are hub centric. I use 15mm eibach spacers on my car without any problems.

I got these from titanwheelacc

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-25-Wheel-S...item3a78dec7e3

Been running them for a year, love the stance. That includes drag racing on drag radials with them. Not sure if they are hubcentric or not continuously looked for the specs but couldn't find anything. Like I said been running them for a year, have no problems.

Looks like hes updated his website and now they specifically say they are not "hubcentric".... what will be the outcome of not running hubcentric spacers?

^Disregard, 5 minutes of studying on youtube and now I know. Well that would explain the slight vibration I get going over 90+ mph- which is rare, if ever. So I'm going to keep running them. Since I moved to AZ I drive the car once a week if that anyhow, so they will stay.

I've been using 1/2" or less for years with longer studs. I do have a slight vibration on the highway sometimes. But I think the car would look stupid without them

Its better to have the correct offset. If you going to do it, do it right and go with the H&R spacer.

I highly recommend doing the 1'' spacer as pointed out above.. i talked my buddy into installing them, and his pewter ss looks soo much better now!

they will fit perfect, and we didnt roll the fenders because the car is lowered and still has plenty of suspension travel.

just remember, use "blue" loctite...and torque everything correctly..
