tire question for my 18x10.5
Been browsing tires and im having a hard time choosing. I really wanted a 315 but there are not many tires to choose from. I want a street tire that sees rain. I dont know why they dont make the kdws in 315 but they do make a 295. Does anyone have a pic of a 295 kdw on their 10.5" rim? ive seen the 335 kdw and it does have some bulge. I might end up going this route 295 just seems like its not wide enough.
any other tire options out there? im not trying to spend 400.. wanted to keep it down to 300 or so. thanks guys

ya im thinking it is a fine fit i just really wanted that 300 number haha. no one makes a tire from what i can see thats decent in water. Like every 305 and 315 are DR. 335 has kdws thats why i asked. i just really feel the bulge will be too much. i was just hoping the bfg maybe dont run as wide as some 335s. it was all hope lol

Once you get bigger than a 275, the surface area makes any tire not very great in water. It's kind of the lesser of 2 evils. I chose a 315 for many reasons but good water traction is definitely not one of them.

I'm running 315/35/18 Toyo Proxes TQ drag radials on my 18x10.5 and they're amazing. Even not bad in the rain. You can get a lot of mileage out of them if you don't burnout everyday.

Don't give up on Toyo yet...I've got Toyo R888 315/30/18 on rear 10.5" wide rims, and they look AND hook great. I got mine really cheap on ebay, look around and you might be able to find some. The only downside is that they are a type "R" rubber compound, so they're pretty sticky and will pick up loose gravel and throw it around your wheel wells for a while. But that stickiness is definitely more of a pro than a con, cuz improved traction is more important than noisy gravel being thrown around in my opinion.
