Best tire for 18x9.5 tire for road race and backcountry roads?

My Nissan runs Yokohama Advan AD08s. It's basically a street legal DOT tire. It's loud and punishing. I have NT05s on the TA and like them more but don't have the same grip as the Yokos. I may run Toyo TQs for traction until I step up to new wheels. Then Toyo R888s is what it will be.
