No, the color is called black pearl, but it's not a dark black color like a flat or satin black, it has more grey in it thanks to the effect of the pearl.

What I was saying is just like pewter metallic picks up the metal flake, so with the wheels.
Scroll down to the black pearl below.

Here's two examples:

Under the car in the first post is my daily driver, a Saab 9-3 and then under it in the second picture is my Dad's challenger r/t which is a very nice driving car. Obviously it's considerably slower than my car, but it's a car I'd love to drive cross county in, and honestly, it grabs attention everywhere he goes.

To jack up the car it was pretty simple. I have a jack tray that runs between the runners which I can then jack up each end and put on jackstands one at a time.

The ceiling on that side of the garage is right around 12' high. The other side is 9.5'.

Here's some better pics of the wheels... tomorrow the tires get mounted and I'll have pics on the car.

...here's my 10-month old rotty wondering what the hell this thing is in her kitchen.

...and here's a quick pic of the wheel on the car with the chrome lugs. Not sure what I'm going to do with the lugs yet. I might have them powder coated as well.

The sun really does change the way these look. In the shade, they look just dark, almost black, especially from further away.

But then when the sun hits them, they sparkle...oooouuuu sparkles..lol. Yes, I know I need to put some tire dressing on the tires.

You elected to have the entire wheel powder coated, but could you have done just the centers? I didn't know if it could be done that way.

They do look fantastic on your ride. I really think I'm getting mine done if I don't sell them.

Here's the thing, what I have none of these days is free time. So I could have only powder coated select areas, and I consider it, but then what do I do with the un-coated areas? Do I take 3-4 hours per wheel and polish them out completely, then have those powder coated clear? I could have, but I chose to go down this path for the simplicity of keeping them clean and I had to do zero prep work other than have the tires taken off the wheels.

I dig it, they do pop in the sun. If it were me though I would of had them chromed. I had chrome on my LPM Camaro and loved it. Polishing does suck though luckily I get away with just the lips on my FM10s.

It was around $85 per wheel. That was with media blasting, pre-heating, solvent dip, and coating/curing. Then another $100 to remount and balance the tires. So for $500, a completely different look.

Who did them, someone local? I wanted to do something to my billets to make them match the 35th wheels.
