Budget tires? 275/40/17
#22
Thank you everyone for the advice, after quite a bit of review reading, thought about what I really want/need I've decided to spend a few more bucks since I am replacing the rear two only and going with the Nitto NT05. Will it be OK to have the current BFG Gforce up front with the Nitto NT05 out back?
@ above poster, I have 275/40/17 all the way around and it's fine. It is the stock size for 17x9 wheels, although I do not know stock sizes for TA.

I just put 4 tires on mine from Pep Boys, 275/40/17 Hankook Ventus V4 ES. Buy 3 get 4th free and printed out a 10% off coupon for installation. I went down to Sears and got a written quote from them for the same tire, which they sold for less, and Pep Boys beat their per tire price by 5%. Install includes road hazard, lifetime balance and rotation. I paid $794 and will get back $149 for the fourth tire by a visa card. So it will work out to be $645. I shopped all around the net and stores by me and this was the best deal I could come up with. I bought the car about 3 weeks ago and all 4 tires were dry rotted, not worn, and not safe to continue to drive on. It was a shame to toss them, they still had 90% tread left. They were a mix match, Sumitomo in front and Goodyear on the rear. The Sumitomo HTZ's on the front seemed to steer the car down the road, following every little deviation in the pavement. I didn't like them at all. They were also very noisey. The car is a driver and I wanted something quiet and with a mileage warranty. The Hankooks have a 50k mile warranty, next closest was 30k on the Sumitomo HTR. Also looking at a lot of different tread patterns, I wanted something with as many grooves as possible for rain water displacement. I live in SW FL, and we can get 15 to 20 inches of rain in the summer months, depends on how many hurricanes come by. I can't say these are a top performing tire, but as with everything, it's always a trade off, depends on your particular needs. So far I am very happy with them. They are quiet, comfortable, decent traction and nice road feel without being over sensitive.
