Should work pretty well.

The 555Rs are good streetable DRs. I don't know if the run narrow in the 18s like they do in the 17s?

I've put 14k miles on my TQs and I can probably put another 3-6k on them depending on my driving habits in that time.

I got 315/35/17 for $385 shipped to my door.

I wouldn't do mt's for DD, I have mt et streets on my weekend wheels and they wear out way too fast. My buddy has nt05r's on his DD and has been running them for about 3-4 months and they are still in great shape and he races on the on the weekends with no issues or irregular wear.

only thing I would recommend when DD'ing DR's is to protect your rear bumper w/ 3m clear guard. Those sticky tires throw everything at the bumper

I had 555R's and they lasted a little over a year. They hooked good enough for my daily driving and fun on the weekends. Your vette highly modded?

No they don't run narrow in 18's. My 305's were wider than a friends 315's on a 17 inch wheel.

Have the nt05r's on my car now with bolt ons and stall converter. These are the only drag radial/slick I have owned so I can't compare. For my application they have been awesome. Not bad in the rain unless there is a lot of water.

I say its doable but just watch it in the rain. I've DD'd 275/60/15 ET radials to 275/40/17 555Rs to DD'ing 28x10.5 ET Street slicks all with a spool. Just depends on how much you traction/tread life you wanna have or give up.
