DD with drag radials?
I bought 2 315/35/17s for $385 shipped. I'll get them again but may go to a 305 since they are way wider than my 315 Nittos before them and rub some....
Drive the car every day. They do pretty good in the rain, only time I have a problem is when it comes a flood I have to slow down.
They hook amazing... I nearly dead hook from a 20 roll without heating... If I heat them up it barely spins them over.
From a dig they also work great, I don't have traction issues by any means.
408 car so it is making power/tq.
MT ET Streets are a whole different animal and wear a lot quicker than the Toyo so it makes sense why they hook better.

With that said, they are a bit of an upgrade over the NT555Rs. So I'd consider them and the NT555Rs first.
Then I'd look at the NT05R or MTs.
Another option is the Toyo R888s... You won't have any flex when handling. They are a sticky road race tire that's better in the wet than all of them.
I have NT05s now and they handle well but don't grip. They do look awesome tho. I might get the NT05Rs to have matching front and rear...
But, I'm probably going to give the MT ET Street Radial IIs a go in 315/35-17. They have an actual tire pattern, so they might be decent on the street. And they probably hook the best of all 5 tires mentioned.
The issue of Super Chevy had a 275 NT05R cutting the same times as the 315 MT more or less with the same 60 foot. It's just the NT05R needed less air pressure and more of a burnout to do it. Armed with that knowledge, it seems like the MTs would be better on the street: more traction with less heat and higher air pressures.
If I were you I would get the R888's. If they were made wide enough for my car I would run them cause I love taking corners.
I would do that. It'll hook like the 555R, last a while, be good in the rain, and will handle very well.
Good to know. I'll have the NT05R in 315s coming. Once they wear and the 275 NT05s I have wear, I'll put the R888s on there.
