BFG KDW 2 vs BFG COMP 2

Ok so i am in limbo about which tires to go with. the tire size i am looking at right now is 275 40 17 on all four corners. i called BFG themself and they said the COMP 2 was a newer design and would be replacing the KDW2's. my dilemma is that i am contemplating on going with 18's in the near future, and if i did i would go with 18x8.5 and 18x10.5. the COMP 2's dont come in 295 35 18 for the rear. the reason i would be going with 18's is so i could fit the CTS-V brake upgrade up front btw, now i have a few questions
is the COMP 2 really a better tire
if i did go with 18's would i benefit with a KDW2 in 295 out back over the 275 COMP 2 out back?
i am looking for some real world opinions, people who have run both of these tires idealy, but anyone that has run either is welcome. i do love the look of having a KDW 2 in a 12" tire out back, but want the best tire for my money.
also i should mention, that the COMP 2 tires are much cheaper, and supposedly the better tire. thanks

The Comp2 is a new compound and slightly a better tire. However they are close enough in performance I would choose which tire came in the best sizes to fit your needs. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I have sport comp 2s in the front. I love them. Not very noisy, great traction in wet and dry, and they never break traction in high speed corners. I only bought them because I heard the were better than kdw's. And they don't make them in 315/30/18 for my rear either. Kinda annoying.

I just recently bought a set of 4 BFG Comp 2 tires and I love them! It's still a little cold here in VA but they still perform 20x better than the Hankooks I had. I can't wait for the streets to warm up. Cornering is, by no means, boring anymore!

I love the sport comp2s that I have up front. In the rear I have Hankook RS2s which hooked nicely when they were new, but they are due for a change. I don't know what I'm gonna replace them with since there is so few street tires in my size.

Hey guys, just bringing this back to light. I still havent decided on which set to go with, i figured since these tires have been out for a little while now there would be more opinions on it. i am moving to Dallas next year so i will see alot of hot weather, some rain (i think) and never will i drive in the snow.
