Question 295s on stock 16" ta wheel?

Anyone ever run the 295/50/16 Hoosier radial on the stock 16in wheel? On the site it says minimum wheel Size 8 in max 10in so in theory they should go on without any problems right?

or should I just stay with the 255 since my car is lowered, Idk how much room is in that wheel well

I asked this same thing but for my 98 Z28....and the consensus was yes it will fit. I never ended up doing it with mine cause I wanted 17s but I was curious.

that tire is 28" tall versus the stock tire height of 25.7". While it is softer rubber compound for grip, the height difference is going to work against your low end grunt. It is like putting higher gears in your car. I am no expert here, but this what I understand.

295s will fit on the stock wheels. It is the absolute biggest you want to go.
