Default best 305/35/18

Looking for the longest lasting tire in a 305/35/18 for daily driving. Rarely any racing.

Unforunately I am not aware of any tires that will be long lasting in this size. May want to change up the size.

I was looking for this also and now I'm kinda stuck.. Have 18x11's on the way and don't really have the need for a drag radial.

Not sure why nitto doesn't offer them in non drag radial...

check out running a 315/30/18 many more choices...

I decided to go with 275/40/17 BFGoodrich Gforce KDW2s on the front and 315/30/18 BFGoodrich G-force Rivals in the back about $1100 on tirerack.com
and my wheels are $600 so its not bad

I see you already bought tires but i was about to say you can run a 295/35/18 there are alot of normal street tires in that size that is what i ended up switching to after my 305/35/18 drag radials wore out

I looked at that option for a while... but I love the extra width of the 315/30s

(295/25.4)*.35= 4.06496
(315/25.4)*30= 3.72047

A third of an inch? Not really material. Any pothole that would kill our wheel probably wouldn't care about tha much extra sidewall.

looking at the specs 295/35/18 are 26.1 inches tall 315/30/18 are 25.5 inches tall so its definitely more then 1/3 of an inch. I also went with that size because there were a lot more tires in that size and honestly they were almost as wide as the 305's I had on there

I hear the bfg kdw2 runs wide... Gonna try that out in 295.

Some were saying they are almost as wide as a 315...

26.1-25.5=.6 inches

.6 inches on EACH side of the tire = .3 of an inch.

I would say 1/3 of an inch is accurate.

Of course they do, the 275 is on a 17 inch wheel. The discussion is about 18's and the difference between a 295/35 and a 305/30

(27.5/2.54)*.4 = 4.3307 => 4.3307+4.3307+17 = 25.6614
(29.5/2.54)*.35 = 4.0649 => 4.0649+4.0649+18 = 26.1298
(30.5/2.54)*.35 = 4.2028 => 4.2028+4.2028+18 = 26.4056
(31.5/2.54)*.3 = 3.7205 => 3.7205+3.7205+18 = 25.441

All of the 18in tires will have shorter sidewalls in order to accomodate the 18 inch wheel while trying to maintain overall stock diameter.

If you are looking at 305 35 18 drag radials, the nitto 555 drag is the longest lasting. If you are just after a regular z rated tire you will probably have to go with a 295 35 18. I had the kdw 2's on my car and they lasted a long time but as they got older they got slippery and loud.
