Looks great, lowering makes all the difference in the world!

Good call on the MT's, in the long run you'll be happier with them. Run at least 23psi hot on the street and you won't even notice you're on a drag radial (unless of course you're trying to set personal bests on highway clovers )

IMO, looks great, and the black chrome like finish is sweet!
Thanks man. I really appreciate you taking the time to answer all of my questions about wheel sizes and what size tires I should go with. I'm really pleased with the selections I made. I probably could have gotten away with a 17x7 wheel/tire setup up front, but I think the 17x9.5's are going to suite me much better and I think they look great. I've also got room to grow in the future when I go turbo, as then I can run a 325/50/15 MT tire on the rears with a 275 size tire up front, which will give it a more "traditional" drag look.

I'm glad I went with the Mickey's too. So far, they ride great on the local streets and highway. They hook-up like glue too, so that's a plus. I guess I need to be somewhat careful so I don't gernade the 10 bolt.

I'm going to order a full set of the Viking coil-overs here soon. That way, I can adjust the height to my liking and they are "on car" double adjustable. That way, I can get the look I want and tune them in to optimize traction.

Got any good reference threads to how the shocks ride on the street and what kinda 60's theyre good for? (before and after comparisons would be nice). Also what does a set go for cost wise?

I know of two guys on here that are running them. There is a pretty lengthy thread in the suspension section; the guy is running a s480 turbo LQ4. Another thread was made not too long ago as well. I believe they both talk about how the Viking coilovers assisted with really cutting down on their 60' times and helped out greatly with weight transfer. As far as cost goes, for a complete set (front and rear) it's something like $945.00.

Edit: Here is one thread I was talking about; let me see if I can find the other one.

Thanks Dave. Yeah, clutch is all broke in and the car is tuned for kill mode. I'm hoping to get on the dyno next Saturday if all goes as planned. I wired up a Harlan shift light, so I tested it out a few days ago and works good. Set her at 6500 rpms.

Car looks great!! I'll probably go with a 28 inch tire in the rear to be in the peak of my rpm range at the back end of the track.

I'd say that is a good call given your a turbo car.

Not a lot. Just some on the fins, and only on the passenger side.

Glad someone else tried it, ive been thinking about doing a 17x7 front 15x10 rear since these came out but could never pull the trigger. Can you PM me where you bought them?

I tell you what, I hate to admit it now, but if I had it to do over again, I'd have done the 17x7 fronts instead of the 17x9.5's. Don't get me wrong, it looks killer and rides great, but with me running a 275 Mickey on the rear, it would look better with a smaller front tire than what I'm running. Once I go turbo, I'll step up to the wide *** 325 Mickey's. Then, it will look a lot better.

A PM is on the way.

IMO, if you want some good front DD tires for a set of 17 x 7 front runners look at the following sizes in a V speed rating or higher.
215/50/17, H = 25.46"
215/55/17, H = 26.31"
225/50/17, H = 25.85"
You can also go with a 205/55/17, H = 25.88" but your tire selection is very small and they cost more than other sizes I listed.

Agreed. I'd proably opt for the 225/50/17. Being at a 25.85" height, they would work perfect with with my 26" tall Mickey's. The price difference between a 17x4.5 and 17x7 is less than $15.00 total. Hell, I may end up tryign to sell the two 17x9.5's with the brand new tires on them and see about getting the 17x7's.
