The Dark Stars Have Arrived
A couple days ago, my Race Star Dark Star wheels arrived. I decided to go with 17x9.5 up front and 15x10 out back. My car is a street car that will see very minimal track time, so it was important to have something that would work well on the street. I've seen pictures of these wheels and all of them looked great, but I was blown away when I opened the first box and took the wheel out. These things are amazing and the finish on them is perfect. I think they are going to complement the Pewter WS6 well. I also ordered tires yesterday; decided on some Nexen 300 275/40/17's for the fronts and some Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials 275/50/15 for the rears. I ultimately wanted to go with a 325/50/15 size tire, but at my power level and rear gearing of the car, that wouldn't have been optimal. I also didn't want to mess with the whole ABS fiasco. Anyway, on to the pics.
And my little boy Titan showing his approval!!!

Thanks guys. The front tires showed up yesterday and the Mickey Thompsons may come today, but more likely Monday. I'll have pics of them on the car early this week.
One thing I can't get over is the finish on these wheels and how good they look. They don't look like your traditional "black" wheel; they have such a nice gloss and the black sometimes appears more like a gun-metal grey. These wheels are going to be so much easier to keep clean compared to the CCW's I had.

17 front and 15 rear just seems like far too much of a difference to me for a street car, but they look great for sure and I'm sure with tires mounted they will look right. How much did these run you per pair/set?

I bought them from a Mustang website. They are obviously not a vendor, so if you'd like to know the price, just PM me. I will say that I checked around with multiple different places and were I got them from ended up being $100.00 or more cheaper than all the other places. Lets just say that with wheels and tires, I'm right around $1,700. These are also the direct drill Dark Stars.
