Default 17x11 7.75" BS Billet Specialtie Street Lite Clearence Issues

I have did some searching and seem to be getting some mixed reviews on what it will take to clear the 17x11 Street Lites. I was recommended the 7.75" BS, but now I have seen where some people have had to roll there fenders and trim their bump stops to clear them on a 315/35 tire. Does anyone have any first hand experience on this setup whether or not it will rub at stock ride height and an adjustable PHB on a '98 Camaro? I am going to submit a wheel guide form on their website, but I wanted to get ya'lls input. Thanks for the help.

The 7.75 back space is the most common, but honestly 8.0 or 8.25 will work. The biggest thing is you need to mow off the bump stops from the frame rail and it opens up quite a bit of room on the inboard side then.

my rears are 315 rears with 17x11 and they fit. The car did need rolled fenders and the previous owner tapped in the tubs a little. I didn't have the axle bumpers removed and i can't tell of any trimming... i don't know the offset of them though as they were on the car when i bought it.

That looks really good. I wish I knew the offset. The wheels are actually going on my dad's car and he is not at all interested in having to roll the fenders or anything like that. So itsounds like he may need a narrower wheel like a 9.5. Thanks

I wonder if running a 8.0 bs space would completly get me out of the rolling the fender situation.

You could go with a 8"b.s., but you need to clearance the inner fender well(B.F.H.) on both sides.
If that's not a option then your best bet is to go with a 17 x 9.5, with a 7" back spacing, it'll fit great with NO clearance issues!

I ran the 17x11 7 3/4 bs wheels for a bit when I got my car. The lips were rolled and bfh mod to the inner wheelwells with a 295 dr.

Silver2000WS-6, 17 x 11 with 7.75" bs will need the fender lips rolled, but it will require noticeably less bfh to the inner wheel wells than with the 8" bs 17 x 11s will.

I have 7.75" BS... Trans Am has more fender room, so it fits well. Plus you get a little more lip on the wheel.

if your lowered and have a decent size tire doing mods for clearance is a must , i dont know why people make a big deal about rolling, or bh , you want the look you do the mods, or cut up tires, risk damage, etc

Thanks for all of the inputs guys. I do agree that the 17x11 with 7.75 BS on 315s loos great, but I do not think my dad is interested at all in rolling the fenders and doing the BH mod. Looks like he needs to stick to 17x9.5 with 7.0 BS on 275/40s since he is not interested in the potential clearance problems.

17x9.5 rears dont look as good, rolling fenders n bh mod is just the smart thing to do,its very lil work and looks much better, you spend a arm n a leg on wheels n tires but dont do the mods to make things right lol
