A 26" tire should be good for 123mph in 4th gear, at 6500rpm. With a 113mph your only looking at about 6000rpm. I'd stick with a 26" tire until you start making enough power to almost hit the rev-limiter.

if i were to be adding a 150 shot sooner than later would it be better with the 28" or would the 26" still be fine with that

I was wondering the same thing for my set up. I went 114.69 on a 295/35/18 which I think is 26.1" tall. I have Moser rear with 4.11 and m6 also. Don't know exactly where the limiter is set but its probably 6500.

Im at 446 RWHP and 4.11 gear. running 26" tires shifting at 6800 and crossing the line at 125-127mph. The MT et street bias ply will be a better track tire for you, unless you have adjustable suspension and your good at dialing it in.

an oldie but a goody
choose 98 F-body M6 then input your tire size, rear ratio and voila!

Running all motor go 26" all day long. I run 26" ET Drags Stiffwalls and have done fairly well. ET Street Radial will be VERY hard to hook with an M6 car, but a few people have done it with proper suspension. Definitely go Bias Ply if possible. If you think you're going to start spraying before you wear out the 26" tires, jump into the 28" tires first.

I trap 116, my rev limiter is set at 6800, and I run 28" tires. I go through the traps just a tick over 6k. If I had to buy another set of tires, I would go 26" all the way. I am planning on spraying, so 28's will give me the mph growth room I will need. Don't rule out 27" QTP's.... lots of guys stuck in the middle seem to run those with good results without going to a full slick

Too many times people go with a 28" tall tire for looks, but don't realize how it impacts driving. I agree that a 26" tall tire would be best for you at the power you're making.

Quick Reply: 26" or 28" tire with 4.10's m6
