firebirds seem to tuck wheels better than us Camaro guys. based off your screen name i am assuming you have a firebird/trans am. either way. i would go for it.

I posted this back in 2013, so the prices may be off. But I know Hinson and Vengeance also carry the Weld wheels and may be able to do better:

I've included the part numbers with the pad and offset as well as the total price as listed on Summit as of today. All would need to be special ordered, but hopefully, this helps someone who wants to spend a bit more than OE replica wheels but not quite ready to spend the cash for Fikse, CCW, Forgeline, or HRE.

Here are the part numbers for the 17s and 18s for anyone who is interested (can be ordered through Summit using these PNs directly from Weld's catalog):

Weld RT-S Polished Medium Pad +39mm 17x9.5 Front Wheel (PN:71MP7095B68A) aggressive fitment or +50mm (PN: 71MP7095B73A) less aggressive fitment
Weld RT-S Polished Medium Pad +46mm 17x11 Rear Wheel (PN:71MP7110B78A) perfect fitment
$1777 from Summit. Don't know shipping. Their site is broken here at 2 AM...

Weld RT-S Polished High Pad +41mm 18x10 Front Wheel (PN: 71HP8100B71A) this will clear the Brembo CTS-V Calipers... YES!
Weld RT-S Polished Medium Pad +43mm 18x11 Rear Wheel (PN: 71MP8110B77A) may need a fender roll and +56mm (PN: 71MP8110B82A) may need some BFH - wish it came in 50; High Pad has worse offsets
$2360 Summit.

Medium pad has the spoke arching out and clearing calipers with about 1" of clearance - fine for the C5 brake kit or stock brakes. High Pad gives about 2" of clearance, which is needed for the CTS-V caliper - in fact, that wheel will clear the 6-Piston CTS-V from what I understand.

And if you want it with the anodized black face, just add a "B" after the 71H - so 71HB would give you the anodized face. It does increase the price, however.

Thanks and hope this helps someone.

So I bought wheels for my car 18x9.5 with a 40mm offset and they do not cover my front calipers!

I thought that 40mm offset would clear?

It also depends on the face of the rim, is it convex or concaved? Or straight spokes. The off set alone isn't going to clear.
