Default 2002 Z28 Camaro Drag Radial questions

Just got a Red 2002 Z28 Camaro. And the wheels spin like crazy right now. I want to put some drag radials on to reduce the spin. These will be for the streets and the track. I want the meaty look or "stance" look of the big back tire on a smaller wheel. And I want the front tire to be smaller of course but still have the same wheel size. A smaller size like 15's or 16's.

But I don't know what size of tire or wheel would look good and fit on it. I want all the same brand of wheels and all same brand of tires front and back also. What are your guys suggestions?

It's kind of hard to get what you're getting at from your description but it sounds like you are talking about a drag pack.....skinnies up front and meats out back?
In the picture below is my car on the left
17 x 9.5 all the way around
275-40-17 nt555 front
275-40-17 Mt et streets back
Zero traction issues

Car on the right is my buddies drag pack setup.
(Kind of hard to see)
17x4.5 front
15x10 rear

Both his car and my car have two different setups but our tires are about a 26in. tall tire all around

Here is a better picture of his drag setup. If you want to keep your abs your tires need to be the same height. Your rims can be different sizes tho.

Yes I want a drag set up. Like that. But want to keep the wheels the same size in the front and back. And my car doesn't have the abs option. It didn't come with it. So I slide all over the place. So I want a taller, meatier tire, like my picture in my first thread. Any clue what size your buddies tires are?

Your car probably has abs unless someone deleted it. You probably don't have traction control which is fine.

His rears are a 275-50-15 on the back which is a 26in. tire.
His rear tire is the same height as your car and mine. Just look bigger because of the 15in rim and he is lowered.

15x8 and 15x4 centerline qualifiers 275 60 mickeys dr and 165 80 15 front rear drag brakes on narrowed 9 inch front brakes stock but calipers ground.
you could go with billit specialties that fit over stock brakes.

Your 2002 Z28 most certainly DID come with ABS. This was standard equipment. It may not have it now, but it definitely came with it originally.

As mentioned above, you probably don't have traction control (RPO NW9), as this was optional.

You don't have to have *exactly* the same tire diameter all the way around to avoid issues with ABS, I had no problems with about 0.50" difference front to back. I think some people have reported no issues with up to ~0.75-1.00" or so.

15x10 7.5 BS weld RTS
15x4 with 1.5 BS

275/60 15 et street radial
165/80 15 radial

Your first image is not a drag radial, but a biasply, from the looks of it probably a 28x10.5 ET drag.
