Default M6 what slicks

First off, my car is a g body so not as much room for a wide slick like an f body. I just picked up some weld draglites and need to order new slicks for them. Right now they have wore out 27x10.50 hoosier quick time pro's that fit really well and have good clearance to the frame rail.

Should I go right to a full slick instead of the quick time pro? These wont see any street miles.

My car is full weight, probably 3700 pounds with me in it and has 4.30 gears with an f body t56.

26" vs 28"?

I like the sizing of these 28" MT, does hoosier have a comparable stiff wall slick?

How much power you have ?
M6 cars tends to run faster with a stiff wall slick.

I would do 26" inch tires unless you go spray spray the car... if so then go 28" .

Hoosiers tend to outperform M/T tires from what I see as well.

Would the 27x10.50 quick time pro's be a bad option? I like how they look/fit the car. I'm not looking to spin the earth, but a 1.6 60' would be nice. The best I could do on brand new 275/40r17 mickey thompson drag radials last spring was in the 1.8's.

My buddie run the pros on his car. They do so so dependidepending how the track is prepped that day. He now wishes he went with a full stiff wall slick instead. It's tricky getting a m6 car to 60ft nicely. Honestly it takes a good tire and a better suspension. Look in viking shocks/coilovers if you really want the car set on kill mode. Your 60ft will drop big time.

Thanks for the info, I will probably get the MT stiff wall. That 28x9 measures out to a 27.3 so I think that height would work well.

I ended up ordering 27x11.50-15 Hoosier quick time pro's. I know they aren't a full slick, but all the searching I did said they were pretty close and the majority of people had good luck with them on 6 speed cars. I hope they work better then 17" drag radials I ran last year.
