19 inch rim and tire fitment
Hi there, I recently bought a 2001 Trans Am WS6 Convertible. I am purchasing new wheels and tires and am purchasing 19x10 with 37mm offset for the rear and 19x9 with 55mm offset for the front. My question is will the 55mm offset be okay for the front?

... from what i've seen 40-45mm offset is the norm ...

What size tires do you plan to run? I had 19x10 C6 rims all the way around at one point with 275/30/19 tires. I didn't keep them on long at all. I couldn't get traction with a 30 series tire and the ride was absolutely horrible! I went to the 19's from a set of 275/35/18's and went back to 18's after I got rid of the 19's. I'm actually back down 17's now. I've been on the stock 16's, 3 sets of 17's, 2 sets of 18's, and then the one set of 19's. Yes, I've had 7 different sets of rims on my car over its 20 years since I bought it new. IMO, 18's look the best, but 17's offer the best traction and performance of the 4 sizes I've tried over the years. If you want 19's for the look, go for it, but if you want any performance in street trim, I wouldn't advise 19's.
