These babies are sticky as hell! Can't wait to strap them on at the track. One questions though -- my basically stock car will prolly go slower with the slicks on, right?

Wtf why would they make your car go slower if anything they will make it faster. If I were you I would get some lighter wheel's to mount the ET's on, like some Pro Star Xp's.

If you don't have enough power to pull them, it could slow you down by causing your car to bog. Is your car an A4 or M6? If you are launching on a stock rear end, be careful, especially in a M6.

I have Nitto Dr's and a basicly stock car and it has not slowed me down. When you launch ride the clutch out don't dump it. Dumping it will cause your car to bog witch will slow you down. What ZaneO said above stand's true.

I have an a4. Yea I'll be careful launching on that stock rear end. I've heard it can slow you down because of the stickiness if you don't have to power to pull them. 60' foot time will go up, of course, but I dunno about mph. Could be wrong.

Slicks are not quite so hard on A4 cars, but you still have to be careful. Stickier tires will lower 60' times and lower mph. You won't get full advantage of them without some gears, torque converter, etc.

Yeah the main reason I got them is because I am putting 3.73s, 4000 rpm stall, headers, cam, etc. on next week.

You'll be good to go then. Barring a broken rear end.

Are all the ET streets like that? I once borrowed a set of ET streets, and it scared the Sh%$t out of me too. I thought maybe the ones I borrowed were not wide enough or something.

If I shift too slow it puts a huge torque load on them and the car will start to wobble back and forth. Not cool. Also they will throw the ABS light at the 3/4 mark, down the track..at 130 mph is a bad time to discover how to use Slicks.

I put them on at the track -- 60' times went down .3, but due to my shitty r/t's, my et went up .1. None of this wobbling though...
