Default 295/35/19 tires, will +.75" radius wheel/tire combo cause any problems?

I want to put on the CCW wheels but don't want the 30 profile with such short sidewalls. In addition, I don't want to lower the car but would like to fill out the wheel wells. So, the combination of a .75" drop (Koni SAs in front with lower perch, isolator removed in rear) and a .75" larger radius wheel/tire combo meets all my criteria.

Besides the speedo being off, what other negative effects will this have. Wreak havoc with the ABS (front/rear size would be the same)? And how do you re-calibrate the speedo?

Technically, those tires will be 1.4" taller than stock. The ABS may not like it because of a different radius in front and back. The speedometer can be reprogrammed by LS1 Edit, Predator, etc.

I would stick with the 295/30

The diameter is 1.4" more, that means the radius is 1/2 that. The radius is what counts when it comes to how much higher the car will sit. The center of the wheel will be higher based upon the increase in radius of the wheel.

As for front vs. rear I'll use the same size tire 295/35 for both, so there won't be any ABS issues due to different front/rear diameters.

No, you should be concerned with overall diameter. The center of the wheel stays in the exact same place, ie. the hub. You'll have extra tire on both sides of the wheel.

Have you figured out what it is going to take to run 295's in the front?

Those with CCW wheels typically run 295/30 in front, 305/30 in rear so the width in the front shouldn't be a problem. I'm surprised those owners haven't mentioned ABS problems. As for extra tire on both sides of the wheel; people lower between 1.5-2" without rubbing so I would hope that wouldn't be a problem.

Dont do it. The car will ride like a monster truck...lol. Really, it gets sloppy, your rear axle ratio is reduced, and overall, the car handles like ****. I had 345/35/18's on my 18x12.5" forgelines, and it was a 27.5" overall tire heite. I went to 335/30's and it was a 25.9" and the car felt perfect again.....PLEASE TRUST ME ON THIS!!!LOL, they are costly mistakes. peace, victor

Thanks for the info, I won't repeat your mistake. I just wish I could find a rim I like with an 18" diameter, the CCWs are my favorites by far.

Bringing this thread back from the dead. my turn. i have 265/35/18 tires in the front and i wanna run 285/40/18 in the rear do any of you'll think this will defiantly cause abs problems for me bc off front/rear diameter differences.
