Default What wheel/tire combo for drag racing?

I want to get some wheels that I throw on for racing. I would like to see tens. I have to leave at idle and roll into the throttle to race with the Nittos. If I had 100 **** hp I still don't think I could get 10's (maybe a better trap though). Since I run 11" wheels I have ground the bumpstops down. Without grinding the calipers what is a good hooking combo for me. I would like to maintain stability since I have no roll bar so I was leaning towards drag radials. Thanks.

I'm running 15x10 draglites with 7" backspace on the rear with 15x3.5 on the front. I spent a solid day grinding the calipers to make these wheels fit. Without grinding the calipers, you will probably have to go to 16" wheels. I hear the centerline wheels also require grinding. If your just going to run them at the track, get some et streets or something. With heads and cam, I'm getting low 1.5 60fts. with the wheels about a foot in the air. When the clutch drops from 6500rpm, something has to give!!!

you don't have to grind on centerlines

What size wheel/tire would you recommend? I was thinking of getting some WS6 wheels and putting 275/40/17 BFG drag radials on them. I think that would bite better than the Nittos.

Bogart makes a road race series, they are 17x10. they are sweet. light and pretty.
i run them on my Z06 i had them on my camaro befor i went to the 15" D-10 bogarts
i run and used to run on my camaro a 10" rear rim with a 315 35 17 BF G DR, and a 17x8" rim up front with a 225 BFG g-force KD.
they fit perfect and hooked pretty well.
i have had nitto's and BFG's and the BFG's did much better for me

I can't use a 315 BFG. The 315 Nittos lightly rub and I heard that 315 BFG's are about an inch wider than 315 Nittos.
