Default Having a hard time choosing between the two

I have nittos 315's in the back of the car.... They have been great tires and i loved them, but they lasted around 8K miles only. Now i can't even pass inspection until i get new tires. Im between another set of Nittos Drag Radials or go BF G-Force T/A KD? I never tried the BF G-Force so i would like someone who tried them to give me some feedback. The Nittos are cheap since i can get two new tires for $364 shipped compared to the BF G-Force KD T/A $520 shipped, but the BF-G have 200 treadwear compared to 100 for the Nittos. The nittos are hardly sticking even in 3rd gear with the power im making. So i dont know about the BF G-Force. So what do u think guys? Which one would u pick?

I don't think too many tires will hook with as much power as you're making! I would just stick with the nittos since it seems you've been happy with them. You aren't going to get many miles out of a tire that's gonna hook with your kind of power.

Kuhmo (SP?) MX's hook damn good for a stree tire and LAST a heck of a lot longer than a Nitto. I ran them on my 98 making 525/615 on spray. They would hold third just fine. Seemed to hook similar to my Nitto's to be honest. Just could handle quite a few more burnouts and still have tread.
That would be my recomendation out of several you will get to choose from.

If you're talking about the G-force drag radial, they don't last at all on the street compared to the nittos. Plus nittos hook better on the street than do BFGs, but if you go to the track then its the other way around.

Im not talking about the BF drags. Im talking about the BF G-Force T/A KD. I think the Cobra R runs them. The BF drags last and they dont handle well too. I road course on my street tires sometimes so i need a tire that do good in both drag racing and road course racing.

Props to Kumho's for the best street tire I've ever had.

It'll be tough to get great treadwear and great traction in the same tire. You've gotta compromise.

Kumho Ecsta MX. They are a 200 treadware street tire. Not a drag radial. I ran the 285/40/17's Comparison was to a 275 Nitto. So I dont know how they would compare to a 315 Nitto. But I loved the fact they were heat sensitive like a Nitto and hooked well when warm. Plus were outstandind in the rain as well as lasted for a LOOONNG time. (deep tread) 2nd gear would hold on nitrous with a 4.30 gear on a hot day. 3rd would hold most any day as long as it wasnt 30* outside.
I'm not saying they are the best tire for traction in the world but a REALLY nice compromise to a drag radial that has no life (treadware) in them.
I always used slicks at the track so these were my daily tires and good for the open bottle hwy runs you encounter here and there.

I'm running 275/40/17 front 295/35/18 rear Kuhmo Ecsta MX's. They do last a long time. I like them for autocrossing, but I don't think they hook all that well. They do better when warmed up. With the power you are putting out I'm not sure anything but a track tire will hold.

I know that, but 200 treadwear would be nice.

I have another suggstion, try looking at the Yokohama Advan A032Rs. You can chose from a few compounds of softness, and I hear those hook very well in any kind of racing. Also, I'm not quite sure on what the treadwear, but they do have a size that fits your application.

Another bad point there, 285's are the widest that fit our cars; however, they about identicle to a 315 Nitto in width. Just trust me, I dont know why they are but they are And another downflaw, they are a LITTLE bit taller than a Nitto. Didnt hurt my ABS at all tho....

I was looking to see if I had pics for you. But I guess I didnt take to good of pics of my tires. LOL
Here is what I got. On a 10" wheel. I honeslty dont know what they would be like on a 11". They seem to fit my 10" perfictly. By jugding with my eyeballs I swear my buddies 315 nitto's and mine side by side looked basically the exact same size. His were on a 9" wheel on the other hand. So ill let you be the judge there.
BTW Tires have about 8K miles on them in the pics.

It looks like a nice tire, but i have 17 inch rims by 11's. I need 315's in the back or 305 at the least.

The KDs are a nice tire but they are made for road racing. the sidewall is very stiff and make for a harsher ride and less traction off the line than DRs.

I have M/T DRs on my car and they are the best tire I have had. I love hitting my car from a dead stop / even on the street. I just got them and I DOUBT they will last as long as Nittos. They are bad *** tires, especially with as much power as your making
