Default SSR Wheels

Is there a reason no one runs SSR wheels here? I'm a big fan of the GT1 and was sorry to see the Integral go. The GT3 is a great looking wheel too IMO, love the lip but not the rivets. They are supposed to be a very lightweight wheel for their size (18x9 GT1 is 19.5 lbs, 18x9.5 GT3 is 24.5 lbs). My next set of wheels will probably be GT1s or GT3s (prefer the rivet-less and lighterweight GT1s but like the lip and three piece design on the GT3s). Dont get me wrong, iForged and CCW and the like are great (my other set of wheels I've got my eye on are the 505a CCWs) but nobody has SSRs. Just wondering if there is some type of reason like a quality problem or something. I'm wanting to be unique (just like everyone else, LoL) and these wheels are a great way to do it IMO since no one has them.

If you dont know about SSR, TireRack.com carries them. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/ssr/ssr.jsp

Some of their wheels are really nice. There was one guy who had 19" GT3s on his NBM SS, but he sold 'em for something else. They are nice wheels, especially the ones with the forged centers!

I do remember that particular car. I really like the GT3s because of that lip, and 24.5 lbs isn't too heavy for a 18x9.5 IMO. The GT1s are really nice at 19.5 lbs for a 18x9 and would probably be my choice. I do really like those 505a CCWs but I dont want 19s for one, and I also dont know how much they weigh. I think those 18x9 GT1s or GT3s would be perfect for my car.

I'm sure you would also prefer to spend less than half of what you would pay for the CCWs!

Not sure if the rolleyes is directed at me or CCW, but pricing is about the same, or not too far off. The 18x9 GT1s are about $1600 for a set and the 18x9.5 GT3s are like $2400 a set I think, and last I checked the CCWs could be had for $2500, so not too much of a price difference there.

Shame on TireRack. They dont have the GT3s listed as fitting our vehicles (anymore) but they still say the GT1s will fit fine.

I remember a while back I was going to get the GT3's in Bright Satin w/Machined Lip (19's). Decided to get the custom leather interior. But if I sell my headers and current rims... maybe.

On your car that would look VERY nice. Any worries about that extra .65mm they dont have on the bolt pattern?

My bad. I guess I was under the impression that they're more expensive than that. Hmm. You can find the GT3s if you use Corvette instead of Camaro.
