Default Weld skinnies rims for long distance driving?

needed to make a long road trip but wanted to know if a set of Weld 15x4 front skinnies is safe on about a 1000 mile road trip from Cali to Colorado. Any input his helpful to make a decision

I have made several trips back and forth to the track which is about 450 miles roundtrip.
1,000 miles is pushing it. I would put stock size rims and tires on for peace of mind. I've made several long distance journeys and the the last thing you want to worry about is your tires.

The furthest Ive driven on my skinnies is 600 miles round trip with no problems.
