Its really not that bad the only thing I dont like is when you are going about a 100mph or over the front end starts to get loose and shake. But for normal driving not really that bad and you wont notice that big of a differnece.

i'll tell you what....my first experience with them was very scary! i never though about them not having the grip going around a curve and i was doing somewhere over 60, but nothing exessive. the car was moving int the next lane and towards another cars door! i had to let out because i wasn't sure if i could stop it. but i got use to them and found there limitations. they might have worked better on a lighter car, but my vert is 3700 with me in it. just don't do anything rash right away, and try driving on them without much traffic around. you'll be fine. also, may want to get the 4 ply ones rather than like ET Fronts. they hold up to street driving better.

Handeling does decrease a bit, but NOWERE near un streetable. as far as highway goes, its not that bad untile you get up to speed around 80+MPH like pir7tr said. I just got new TT2 wheels and tires, but before that i was driving with the slicks/skinnies all the time except in rainy or bad weather.

when your just crusin down the road goin around 45mph your car kinda feels like a boat swaying back and forth a lill bit when you change lanes (because of slicks out back). other than that for me its fine. you get allot more people looking at your car with slicks and skinnies to

You can drive as you normally would, you just can't go hauling *** around a curve anymore...I drive mine on the street all the time and make a 180~200 mile round trip to the track every weekend on my setup (skinnys & Nittos). I usually cruise 75-85 on the hwy. I have also made several interstate runs on this setup and it felt fine. Although you will not like the ride or handling if you decide to remove the front swaybar.

I do not drive my car in the rain and have been lucky enough to not get caught in the rain since I started running skinnys.

i drive like a normal person...and i like the skinnys better. i think the car rides better...softer...not as harsh. i have no front sway bar...and daily drive my car in the nicer weather without any worries. ive had skinnys on all my cars so maybe im used to them. when i put the stock wheels on to store the car for the winter...you can feel every bump you go over. Im a straight line guy...so i dont really care about turning fast...so i like the skinnys better than regular wheels.

shaking at high speeds???? wtf??? why would they cause that? either your rotors are warped or your tires are chopped up. my car rides like a dream on the highway...cruise at 90mph for hours at a time on the skinnys. I run 45-50psi in the vw tires.

oh...and ive never had a problem in the rain.

enjoy

Do you think you need a 10" rim for 275 60 drag radials or would 8" wide rim work?

thanks

from experience i can tell you that a 275 60 dr works better on an 8" rim than it does on a 10" rim.
