Kumho Ecsta MX's
...anyhow these are what most people will run on the fronts when they have a 17x9.5 17x11 combo set of wheels...usually a nitto drag radial in the back and these up front...so they obviosuly aren't too bad...i know i have had a couple sets and they wore really fast...so make sure you keep the air pressure up and check it from time to time...my front tires wore out fast when i found out that they air pressure was a little low... They will give about the most dry grip of any "max performance" tire on the market at the moment, and cost much less.
I've used them as my roadcorse tires on my M3 and they have close to the amount of grip you'd find with some of the harder compound R-compound tires (ie, Yoko A032r).
Highly recommended.

In the wet, i'd give the nod to the GSD3's though.
Just look at tirerack's tests, the MX's are basically on top of most of their tests.

I've had these tires on my car for several months. IMO they are the best bang for your dollar. Handling and dry/wet traction is much improved over the F1s. I dont see the D3 being much better than the MX. The GS-D3 were just too expensive and I felt like GY didn't deserve my business considering the crappy F1s that came with the SS.
For the money I can't complain, but I won't buy them again.

Got mine from a local tire dealer, about $850. Pics on Cardomain site.
