honestly i dont even think that is the "norm"...maybe for a stalled auto but definately not for a stick car

Pulled consistent 1.67-1.68 60 fts on 18" BFG DR's in a 6 speed car. Of course they dropped to 1.8's or worse with a 150 shot. lol

In GM HTP Magazine in April of 07 There is a Trans AM from NY that ran 315/30/18 BFG G-Force DragRadial and cut a 1.55 60' . It had a really nice SD Tuned 455 in it and was a six speed car.

I've cut 1.69 twice in my Stalled/Cam GTO on the 265/40/18 Mickey. I ran at the strip all 2008 (probably close to 40 passes) and only spun the tires 2 times. I load that baby hard too. LOL

I have been considering going to the 275/17 because my street traction on the 18's is not good. But on a well prepped track, no complaints.

If your running n20 i would say ditch the 18's and go with 17's......

When i used to run 17's for dr's i pulled 1.48 60ft spraying a 125 out of the hole on a 315/35/17 Hoosier drag radial and my dad has 1.45x's 60's on them as well.......

I have the BFG Drag T/A 255/50/16 with 2500 miles on them and 7 passes at the track and they are looking like slicks. I like them on the street very much. I paied 151$ a tire & they are not bad in the rain...

I have seen a pic with the front tires off the ground with 18" BFG DR's as well. 35 series too! It can be done.

Mine dead hook and I bog with bolt-ons and tuning. I've never cut less than a 2.1, but I'm also at over 5000 ft. and I don't beat on the car too hard.
