What's a fat tire?
Can you all give me a rundown of what tires are fat? By that I mean what tires "look" fat for their size. Looking for the widest and fattest looking tire for a 9.5 other than a DR. Probably gonna have to be a 35 series tires because I'm lowered and I want a matching front in 275/35. I was thinking Nitto NT555's but they don't look fat and bulgy like I want. I hear BFG's are fat but they only make a 285/30 and I think a 295 might not be good. Some run them but I won't. Anyone got pics if their meats on 9.5's?

The GS-D3's were almost 2 inches wider than the stock F1's. When I compared them side by side. this is the contact patch also. 285 isn't going to get you much more contact if at all.

Sure it will, when you consider you have TWO 285's on the rear as opposed to two 275's. When you add up the extra rubber, it makes a difference. That's more rubber on the rear alone than some cars have on all four. Besides, it will look better.
