who is running Sumitomo HRZ
Just wondering who is running sumitomo hrz, are they really that crappy scien they are only around a 100 bucks.
I need 315's for the rear and the other are over double the price besides nitto's and I really do not want to run a drag radial.
This is just a daily driver.
Just wondering how well the hook, wear, corner, and look.

I use em and like them. I like the aggressive look, not sure how they hook at the track, but they do well enough on the street. good and stiff sidewalls for the corners, and a very good tread rating. My selling point though, is that they have very little road noise. This is my second set. The first one lasted over 40k miles.

I've got em and they seem okay so far. Only put a couple hundred miles on them as of yet. They seem to hook pretty decent. Can't really comment on cornering too much.

Just the thread I was looking for.
I might get these tires and put them on my ZR1s. I have the BFGs, and Mastercraft ZHPs now. ZHPs are real awesome tires, and I get them for less than $100 each since my father works for Kauffman Tire. Well they don't make a 315 so I have to find something to substitute.
40k out of any performance tire is extreme! The most I got out of the GS-D3s was 11k, and the ZHPs have over 15k and have half tread on them...roughly. I put the ones wiht the thicker thread in the rear so we will talk in a month or two.
Thanks I think I'm sold.

Just Got Mine A Few Months Ago, They Are 315's Out Back And For The Price They Are Great. The Only Think Is That I Got Use To Seeing My Bf Drag Radial Out Back, Now These Htrz Look Thin To Me. Overall These Are A Good Set Of Tires To Have On A Daily Driver If You Are On A Tight Budget, And Wanna Get Plenty Of Miles Off Your Tire.

I read reviews on Tire Rack and I swear to you no lie ever 5 posts was someone who had a sidewall bubble out, or loud noise, one guy is taking Sumitomo to court for fraud becasue his tire exploded, and he recked his car because he was at 70 or so mph. Sumitomo said it was his fault or something to that nature, and now the court will decide. Not sure if I want these anymore.....seem a bit risky!

I ran them back in '99 on my T/A with my Enkei Win wheels. 315/35's on the 17x9.5" rims. The middle wore a little quicker, but they were ok for the price. I put about 30K miles on them, and they were spun quite a bit too.

Well I've done a burnout then rolled through a parking lot and they were covered in rocks so they can get sticky and I've had them hook for me plenty of times.
I have some pretty bad wheelhop now though.
And btw for anyone interested. $270 shipped for 2 315's. No neeed for me to spend that much money on 1 tire for a car that I never drive.

I have the 315 out back on my ZR1's. The only thing I don't like is that the sidewall is flush with the wheel. I thought they would be a little wider..
Can't beat the price though!!

ok well formerly owning a set of brg drag radials 315/35/17 i can say i am somewhat disapointed in these tires...first off the actual tire itself is maybe an inch wider than my khumo 275's up front...the contact patch though is probably .5" LESS than the 275's (there is about an inch on each side that doesn't even touch the ground) this is the tire not over-inflation...i have them at 35 psi...that's retarded if you ask me...a tire that is supposivly much larger is in actuality smaller? these tires wear out fairly quick from what i am seeing...but nothing like the drag radials...these tires do well in the rain...and they do get pretty sticky, BUT ONLY when you heat them up...otherwise i'll spin them all day...i'm disapointed in them overall though...they look kind of funny since you can see the rim stick out from the tire...the front tires have a "rim gaurd" i guess is what they call it...looks MUCH nicer...i am undecided on what tires i will get next
