I would say some soap and water. Then a coat of some good chrome polish.

According to Myth Busters...Coca Cola makes an excellent chrome cleaning agent.

Soap and water, followed by Turtle Wax chrome polish (small white bottle). I've tried other polishes like Mothers, but it was too liquidy and a pain to work with. The polish will get them looking real nice.

I use "Never Dull" and then wax them with carnauba wax. BLING!
I don't *think* the never dull is taking off my clear coat and if it is, it's so little I don't think it would even matter.

Don't EVER use Never Dull on Chrome. It specifically says it is not to be used on chrome, as it is an abrasive. It's made for polishing metals such as aluminum and silver.

I've had good luck with Windex. Really makes them shine.
