Help, those w/ 18s...
I have a 98 camaro with dms springs and blistein hd shocks. I have a set of 18x9.5 rims but i need tires, reading in forum i know most have 275/35/18 tire size. other day found a guy wanting to get rid of set of tires they are nitto extreme nt 555 but the size is 245/40/18 what do you think will this size work or will it rub to much? thanks for any help brian

Yeah you should be fine with your drop. the max you can go is 285-275/35-40/18 out back with a 9.0 rinch wide rim.( depending on backspace, drop and size of width of rim), and something like 275/35-40/18 with out any rubbing issues. But make sure you have the correct backspacing for our cars or you will have issues. But with the 245/40/18 your 99% sure of no issues.

its cool, what kind of rims do you have?
and you generally are looking for a backspacing (offset) of 35-58mm for f-bodies (check the sticked thread on the tire and wheel section..... )

It wont rub but I dont think you will be happy with the width.
Heck I think my 275s look a little too narrow for my 18x9.5s. A few people have actually commented saying I should have went wider.
You wont rub at all since the 245/40/18 has a height of 25.7" while a 275/35/18 has a height of 25.6".

Put some 285's on the rear and 275's on front, 35 series. 245's are for 8" wheels.
