Yeah you should be fine with your drop. the max you can go is 285-275/35-40/18 out back with a 9.0 rinch wide rim.( depending on backspace, drop and size of width of rim), and something like 275/35-40/18 with out any rubbing issues. But make sure you have the correct backspacing for our cars or you will have issues. But with the 245/40/18 your 99% sure of no issues.

its cool, what kind of rims do you have?

and you generally are looking for a backspacing (offset) of 35-58mm for f-bodies (check the sticked thread on the tire and wheel section..... )

It wont rub but I dont think you will be happy with the width.

Heck I think my 275s look a little too narrow for my 18x9.5s. A few people have actually commented saying I should have went wider.

You wont rub at all since the 245/40/18 has a height of 25.7" while a 275/35/18 has a height of 25.6".

On a 9.5" wheel, don't try and put anything narrower on them than a 265. I don't know why these people are telling you a 245 will fit on a 9.5" wide wheel!? 9.5" wide wheels are to accomodate 265-285 size tires.

Put some 285's on the rear and 275's on front, 35 series. 245's are for 8" wheels.

A 245 will look goofy on a 9.5" wide wheel . . .
