Default What kinda rims are on my TA??

I can't find out what these rims are or where they came from anyone know? I tried a search an came up with nothing. They are made by GM cause they all have a little raised plate or plaque that has GM on it.

i've never seen those rims before. Maybe you should try searching for an aftermarket wheel company that uses the same GM name?

They are rare WS6 wheels that came on very few select WS6 cars from the factory. As far as I know, only year-2000 cars came with the wheels. At least that's what the FAQ says on this website.

I tried that too, but i came up with nothing there either. The center caps have pontiac emblems on them too. The plaque or plate that says GM is actually forgued into the rim that's why i figured it was a GM made rim.

Did someone have that car before you did, or did you buy it new? If used, i'd call the original owner. With TA's, ive noticed alot of differences in the cars, even of the same year. For instance, AC controls, seat adjust *****, and one of 6 different rim selections that could come on it. I'd research with GM and Pontiac, if they are indeed WS6 wheels like Wine said.

Yeah someone had the car before me, i actually didn't even really like the rims lol. But they've grown on me mainly cause no one has ever seen them before. They are rare swirl rims, huge too 17x9.5 damn i thought they looked wide.

Are you thinking about replacing the rims now, or do you want to keep them to preserve that unique look with the unique rims?

Sell them and get better looking ones Unless you like them of course. The right person will pay good money for those.

The code on them was the N66 wheel (as noted above) for 2000 only. Save them, cause in maybe 15-20 years some restorer will need one and pay a boatload for them! LOL
IMHO get a set of Firehawk wheels, they look awesome.

That is correct

A previous owner must have bought them and put them on your car

Its like that lime green hatchback commercial

but yeah they are rare production wheels....probably rare because everyone who bought the car opted for different wheels, but if you like them, good for you

Really i don't understand why everyone doesn't like them, they don't look bad at all.

But either way i doubt anyone's going to offer "big" money for these since they are hated so much lol. But then again i won't have to worry about them being stolen either

Hey, you should be proud These wheels are extremely rare and I agree, you should'nt replace them.

... and yes, THEY ARE VERY EASY TO CLEAN

My car was #81 modified by ASC for 2000. the rims were an optional wheel for a WS6 in 2000, and as far as I understand, they were discontinued, either due to supplier problems or people REALLY HATING THEM.

2 pics below, more on my website: rare pontiac firebird 2000 WS6 salad shooters rims
