Default Drag Radial question

Aside from treadwear, would there be any issues with driving a set of Nittos 555R DRs on an extended highway trip?

I ordered mine yesterday. I heard they wear really good for a DR, so that sounds like good news to me. Do they act decent in the rain?

What size rim are you using? Do you think 313/35/17's will look ok on 17x9.5 SS

17x11" ZR1 wheel. The 315 will probably fit on your 9.5" but it will hang over the side a little bit. Max contact patch would probably by found on a 275.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to order a set of Nittos for the rear, and just wanted to make sure I wouldn't have any trouble on an extended highway drive.

LS69TA...A buddy of mine has them on his Grand National, he's never had any issues driving in the rain with them.

Be careful of hydroplaning, it's not fun. I spun around 6 times at 60 mph. Luckily I was able to avoid hitting any cars, grass, or gaurd rails.

but then again I'm on bald 335 michelin pilots

Thanks JsLS1. I know all to well about hydroplaning. I had bald 315/35's on the back of my 98 T/A. If it started raining and I tried to speed up even 1mph on the interstate, the back end would break all kinds of loose.

Thanks again for the replies. I'll definitely watch it in the rain. Damn, I can't wait to get something under the **** end of that car that will hook some. Then it will probably only be a matter of time...Pop goes the 10-bolt.

You prolly won't have to worry too much with the nittos. If they were bfg's I would worry.
