Default DR/Skinny setup???

I want to get a nice setup for the track, but i dont want them to stick out ANY......NONE lol........I have 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 Z06's for the street so thats taken care of.

I dont have the money for Bogarts (sweet wheels though) so please dont post about them.

Prostar, Draglite, Telstar......mainly Prostar is what im leaning towards.

Please tell me if i have this setup right to run NO SPACERS (i dont care how much grinding it takes)

15x10 with 275/60-15
15x3.5 with 165r15

Someone please post pics of a drag setup that actually TUCKS under a Camaro......any help is appreciated!

With Prostars, 15x10s on a 7.5" BS will tuck nice and the 15x3.5s use a 1.75" BS if I remember correctly (might want to double check the 15x3.5 BS though). Here's a pic of mine with 165Rs on the front and 275/50/15s in the rear. I do use 5/16" spacers in the front.

Those tuck better than mine, but I got the 6.5 BS because the T/A's look better with a little less BS on the rear rims. Mine are almost dead even with the top of the fender. No spacers, I did have them on for a day though, but I got the grinder out today and finished all 4 corners. the 1.75" BS is correct for the front. I'm running 275/50 Nitto's as well. You may run into trouble b/c the 275/60's are 28" in diameter (if I remember right) and you may have to trim the fenders.

Can anybody verify having to trim the fenders for the 276/60s? That's the combo I am going with this next week.

GM Muscle, that car is VERY sweet!! I'm not usually much on ground effects, but your car is badass with them!

How much did the hypercoil springs lower your car?

I'm thinking of doing HAL Struts/springs up front and removing the isolator in the rear.....maybe taking a 1/2 or full coil off the rear spring......I want it as low as i can go and still have it hook......hugging the top of the tires

GM Muscle.....do you have a close side shot of the front? I'd love to see closely exactly how they sit with that 5/16 spacer.......if they still tuck then I'd have no problem running a spacer, less caliper grinding.

Thanks alot for your help!!!

Anybody else got pics of some nice setups that tuck?

Thanks, guys. The car looks alittle more raked in those pics than it really is because of the driveway slopes and I had just taken it off the stands before I took the pic so everything wasn't settled all the way.

I will take a close up of the fronts tommorow, they are close to being flush with the lip of the fender but they still look good on a lowered car. You won't have to touch the calipers with a 5/16" spacer but you will need 3" studs to pass tech. The Hypercoils dropped the car about 1.25-1.5" and then I removed the rear axle isolators that come with the Hypercoils and I dropped the front alittle more with the QA1s. I'm deffinatly 1.75" lower in the front and probrably about the same in the rear when the tires are down to 15psi. Even with the low stance the car has pretty good potential to hook. Once I sarted leaving real hard 1.60s where not a problem on 17" Nittos. Should easily see low 1.50s this year.

Thanks alot for that shot man, you've been ALOT of help......I'll go ahead and run a 5/16" spacer cause your setup is PERFECT.

What size studs to I HAVE to HAVE?? I'm not worried about passing Tech at a track because my track doesnt tech cars.......I'm more worried about being able to put my chrome lugnuts back on when I put my Z06's on.....is that possible with a longer stud? or will i have to run the spacer with them too?

With a GM 3" stud or an ARP 3.125" stud you would have to run open ended lugs with your Z06s which looks like **** or, run the spacers with them which will look alittle funny. However, if your just running these every now and then you could consider the stock studs with the spacers even though it's highly frowned upon (lugs only screw on like 6 turns). I have been told that several of us run stock studs with this combo if we aren't worried about tech or the slight possibility of breaking a stud.

I think you'll be ok leaving the bumpstop. Haven't really heard of anybody having to remove it with 275's.
